A MESSAGE FROM MEGAN

Megan wants everyone to know that she loves and appreciates your support. And that she is serious when she said on her blog to email her because she is going out drinking tonight. She is rounding up her own troops and will probably attack a DC gay bar (Homofascist approves) later on tonight. I am just sad I can't be there.

Also, because you know we gays love to recruit new members, I just made another sortie over to Wonkette and posted my email address again. It should be noted that the pageviews and comments for Ken's Nevada coverage are pretty pathetic.

HF, you are a stand up guy for doing this. They should fire Ken Layne and let Megan edit. After the way they treated her, we want heads on pikes.

I can't be there (the airfare from Seattle being rather prohibitive), but I'll hoist a glass in solidarity.

Considering the roads are going to freeze over down here in Atlanta (Sunny South my gay ass) I'll toast to her in spirit at home. That or put on snowshoes to get to a CL trick's house.

Let us continue this battle!

Pvt. Sommers checking in.

I can't be there either but will raise a toast or three to Megan from here in sunny Phoenix.

Just out of curiousity to see how widespread the Carpentier Nation goes, can we do a roll call of locations?

We will kill any Motherfucking thing that moves in North Central North Carolina or Southside Virginia. And then we will eat it, throw it up, and eat it again.

My god, Megan's goodbye post on W***ette has over 11,000 page views!

"Can you, can you imagine 5000 people a day, I said 5000 people a day logging into Wonkette, posting 'Where the hell is Megan?' and logging out? Friends, they may think it's a movement.

"And that's what it is, the Gawker Empire Anti Blogger Massacre Movement, and all you got to do to join is post a comment the next time it comes around on the guitar.

With feeling."

Wonk is burning down. I couldn't go back to get to Meagan's ax post. Couldn't even get to my own page. Why is Weasel crossing the pickett line?
Burn baby, burn.

I am enjoying a drink or 5 in Megan's honor down here in southeastern NC. United we shall pillage Wonkette (or the idiots responsible for this anyways)!

Hey friends. I think we should aim to bring the comments up to 1,000 in Megan's closing post. It can be done. WE need to comment the hell out of it.

You're right. All guys are shits, even guys who say "all guys are shits" are shits. But some of us know a kinder, better breed when we see it.

Forward the battle. On to 1000.

Cynica: One of Yamhill's finest, I presume?

I served my brief stint as a Real Live Reporter in McMinnville, before I realized the error of my ways and ran off to join the circus.

Other than that I was a lifelong Eugenean, until I realized it's warm and dry about a thousand miles south.

nojo,
Yes indeed. I live in Mac now, having escaped from the hellish summers of Oklahoma. I can take cold and rainy, but not 30+ days over 100 degrees every summer. Also, there were the insane right wing religious nuts, the lack of trees, and the craziest politicians in the USA, which is saying something.

Seattle, WA here, born and bred (as they say for some reason). I dig the overcast. Guess who was a goth wannabe in his misspent youth!

Cynica: Well, looks like Jeb's still running the show at the N-R (he hired me wayyyyyy back when), and Paul, Tom and Starla are the other recognizable lifers on the masthead.

And dear gawd, how could I have forgotten about Turkey Rama? What other traumatized memories have I buried?

Late to report in, as usual. Still: Montréal, Québec, reporting for duty. Sir!

Anonymous said...

Sorry to be so late to the party - if anyone's still reading, I am checking in from Dallas, TX - home of the football team that can't win for losing.

Another latecomer here, from Monroe, LA.

You're never too late to join the roll call!

So far, this has been pretty interesting so keep it up. If I were more enterprising (and sober), I'd make a little map with everyone's nom de blog and location.
